Hi! My name is Vanessa and I'm a children's book illustrator from Ottawa, Canada. It's nice to meet you!
I started out studying Film Animation and went on to work for 3 years at Budge studios, a renowned children’s apps publisher. I had the opportunity to work with some big children’s brands such as My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake and Transformers Rescue Bots, and that is where I developed my love for children’s content.
In 2018, I left my permanent position and started working as a full-time freelance illustrator. Since then I have illustrated 6 children's books along with a variety of other work in educational and editorial markets. I am represented internationally by my wonderful agent, Astound Us.
My next goal? I’m always looking for exciting new opportunities and I want to focus especially on picture books. Children’s content is my happy place! One day I would love to illustrate a widely distributed book for a top 5 publisher.

"Vanessa agreed to illustrate my first book and during the next weeks, she guided me through her creative process with grace, patience and a genuine commitment to reproducing the real essence of my ideas. The final result is an extraordinary creation - full of wonderful designs and soft colors and a completed book that I am very proud to have authored. I am grateful for her unique skills and her personal support throughout this project and I look forward to working with her again in the future."
